Acceptable Use Policy

Filebot is developer infrastructure, not a consumer hosting or publishing platform. You integrate our API to import, transform, scan, store, and serve files as part of your own application, and you control what content enters the service and who your end users are. Our architecture limits our visibility into your content, but it does not relieve you of responsibility for it, and it does not waive our right to act on credible abuse reports.

You may not submit, process, store, or serve content that:

• is or contains malware;
• is illegal to possess or distribute, including child sexual abuse material (CSAM), which is a zero-tolerance category subject to mandatory action and reporting;
• infringes intellectual property you do not own or have a license to use;
• violates privacy or data-protection law;
• promotes or facilitates terrorism, violence, or other serious harm;
• is fraudulent, deceptive, or phishing material; or
• is non-consensual intimate imagery or harasses or defames an identifiable person.

You may not use the service to:

• abuse platform compute or storage (e.g. crypto-mining or denial-of-service);
• circumvent rate limits, quotas, metering, or organization isolation;
• probe, scan, or attack our infrastructure or subprocessors;
• misuse AI steps to generate prohibited content or extract another party’s data;
• send unsolicited or deceptive messages; or
• process content in violation of export controls or sanctions.

If your application lets your end users supply files you process through Filebot, you are responsible for having your own terms with them, a way for them (or third parties) to report abusive content, and for responding to abuse reports we forward to you. We may hold the organization accountable for content its end users introduce.

We may, in proportion to the severity and credibility of an issue, quarantine or delete stored objects, cancel runs, disable API keys, and suspend or terminate an organization. Where practical and lawful we give notice and an opportunity to respond; we may act first and notify after where content is illegal (especially CSAM), there is imminent risk of harm, or notice would frustrate a legal obligation. Repeat or egregious violations may result in permanent termination without refund.

Report abuse to abuse@filebot.dev. Please describe what is being reported, where it is (the served URL, object URL, run ID, or organization), who you are, and any evidence and legal basis. We prioritize by severity and act fastest on CSAM, credible threats, and active malware. Please do not download, store, or forward suspected CSAM when reporting — describe it and give us the location.

If you believe content on the service infringes your intellectual property, send a notice to legal@filebot.dev identifying the work, the specific material and its location, your contact details, and a good-faith statement that the use is unauthorized and that you are the rights holder or authorized to act. On a substantiated notice we will, within a reasonable time, disable or remove the material and notify the affected organization, which may request reinstatement if it was removed in error. We terminate the accounts of repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances.

Report security vulnerabilities to security@filebot.dev rather than exploiting them; good-faith testing limited to your own organization’s resources will not be treated as a violation. Filebot is a proprietary, hosted service with no self-hostable distribution; if you run the Enterprise Agent in your own infrastructure, you operate that compute, but your use of the service remains governed by these terms and this policy.
